A Carleton Celebrity: Albus the Albino Squirrel

Albus the albino eastern grey squirrel is an unofficial campus mascot who has many fans in the town of Northfield. While walking in the neighborhood, Albus gave me the honor of getting up close and personal with him before he picked up a piece of food and bounded up a tree. Of course, the Albus we know today is not the original Albus (eastern grey squirrels have an average lifespan of 6 years), but it is nice to know that Darwinism has not negatively impacted the passing down of his genes.
