Alumni College: What's the state of climate action? Lessons at Carleton and Beyond
The United States made the largest public investment in history to fight climate change through the Inflation Reduction Act in 2022, setting the U.S. on a path to reaching its climate goals. Due to the recent change in administration, States, local government, the private sector, and higher education now need to take the lead to continue the climate fight in the U.S.. At Carleton, we are meeting this challenge head-on with our recently launched Sustainable Futures Framework, which strategically guides our next efforts in education, partnering for climate resilience and justice, and deepening emissions reductions. Panelists will share the big questions and concerns we are navigating at this moment and then reflect on areas of promise and optimism where we can take collective action.
