LTC Lunch April 12, 2022: Welcoming LGBTQIA+ Students Into the Classroom
This session centers on inclusivity and belonging of LGBTQIA+ students in the classroom, learning how to create a welcoming environment and integrate queer and trans topics into curricular learning goals. How do we decentralize heteronormativity and cisnormativity in our syllabi and in disciplinary canons? How can assignments and assessments reflect this? We will work together on looking at participants’ syllabi and workshopping potential assignments to mirror these goals.
