LTC Lunch: Where is the Scholarly Record Headed?

As experimental models of publishing and scholarship become more common, our conceptions of the scholarly record are stretched in interesting and complex ways. What impact does this have on teaching and research at Carleton, and how will it inform our practices around capturing and caring for a record of intellectual activity of the college? We will discuss the challenges and opportunities of digital publishing, including various publishing models, public scholarship, and publishing as pedagogy. Heidi Eyestone, curator of the visual resources collection; Alfred Montero, professor of political science; Heather Tompkins, reference and instruction librarian for humanities and government publications; Kaylin Land ’15
