Celebrating the recent centennial of American women’s right to vote, this program educates and entertains while recognizing the struggle and sacrifices of the Women’s Suffrage Movement’s most important figures. Historical songs take the audience on a journey back in time into the lives of these brave American patriots. Historical images, authentic costuming, an engaging spoken narrative, and audience participation make this a multi-sensory performance experience unlike any other. This program is presented by Of Thee I Sing: American Heritage Through Song, a patriotic performance platform dedicated to bringing American heritage to life through music. Of Thee I Sing has developed a unique model of historical, educational storytelling within the classical vocal genre– programming that audiences won’t find anywhere else. This is not a typical recital!
