The Stassen Chair in International Relations at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, Michael Barnett is a world-recognized leader in international relations and Middle East politics. In addition to teaching, Barnett engages professional and international leaders in developing conceptual frameworks and innovative approaches to policy analysis, and is an advocate for policy change. He is the author of numerous books and articles on the United Nations and the international relations of the Middle East. The title of Barnett's presentation is 'What is the Future of Humanitarianism?'
