Paul Wellstone became a nationally renowned progressive teacher, organizer and senator through his work as a political science professor at Carleton, a community organizer throughout Minnesota and as an effective legislator and leader in the US Senate. This panel will reflect on Paul’s legacy in these roles through a discussion with Carleton alums who knew and worked with Senator Wellstone. The discussion will also address how Paul’s legacy continues in Minnesota and national progressive movements.
