Alumni College: The Legacy of Paul Wellstone: Teacher, Organizer, and Senator
Paul Wellstone became a nationally renowned progressive teacher, organizer and senator through his work as a political science professor at Carleton, a community organizer throughout Minnesota and as an effective legislator and leader in the US Senate. This panel will reflect on Paul’s legacy in these roles through a discussion with Carleton alums who knew and worked with Senator Wellstone. The discussion will also address how Paul’s legacy continues in Minnesota and national progressive movements. Speakers will include Pam Costain ’72, Kari Moe ’74, Raul Raymundo ’87, Dan Cramer ’89, and moderator Associate Professor of Political Science, Christina Farhart
